Rooms in the Villa

The rooms feature a comfortable twin bed, as well as a dining set for you to read the newspaper or play a board game. Should you have indicated a preference for your assigned accommodation, we will do utmost to fulfil this request. We can however not guarantee this. Should you wish a guaranteed room to be assigned, we will charge an additional € 10.00 per night preference costs for a stay shorter than 7 nights. For longer stays we are happy to guarantee a specific accommodation free of charge. The check-in time is between 14.00 and 17.30. Would you like to arrive earlier or later, please call us 24 hours before check-in.

De Familiekamer is gelegen op de begane grond van de Villa en beschikt over een westelijke georiënteerd terras dat uitkijkt op de Engelse landschapstuin. De ruime kamer is ingericht met moderne Jugendstill invloeden en biedt ruimte voor 2 tot 4 personen. Mayor's Room

The Mayor’s chambers are named after the family van Teylingen. The former private quarters of father and son mayor have been transformed into comfortable chambers that are spacious but cosy at the same time, creating a true home away from home. The rooms have a south-facing balcony with sun loungers so you can make the most of the sun and will bring you back to the glory days of the van Teylingen family but with modern day comforts.

The Rooms with terrace or balcony at the Villa bring the outside in. The light and bright rooms, located on various floors of the Villa, all have a furnished balcony or terrace for you to soak up the sun. This private space truly creates the feeling of having a home away from home. With one difference, you might just forget about the time relaxing out in the sun or reading that novel that you never quite got to.

The double rooms are located on the first and second floor of the Villa and are ideal for a cosy getaway. The high ceilings allow for lots of natural light to flow in. It is often said that the light in Zeeland is truly special, as the sun reflects in the sea. The rooms at the Villa all bathe in that light. Many rooms still feature authentic details from when the Villa was first build.

Good to know

Villa Magnolia is our grand old lady of whom we are very proud. We take the upmost care in keeping the building in crisp condition. However, as every old lady she has her quirks, which we have come to embrace and we hope you will embrace them with us. The Villa has a truly majestic staircase, decorated with pictures of the past. But there is no elevator. If you need help with your luggage or any other goods, please do not hesitate to ask for our assistance.

Inside the Villa, on the ground floor, not all windows can be opened. Please note that the double rooms do not have a private outside area. Please note that smoking is not allowed inside the Villa. You are welcome to smoke outside but please mind your neighbours when doing so.

The Villa was once build as a family home. At the time of construction, there was no such thing as running water and the house only featured one bathroom. When the Villa was converted into a hotel all rooms were fitted with an end-suite bathroom. However, there was little room to play with. Some of the bathrooms in the Villa are rather small and some feature a sink in the room itself. All bathrooms are equipped with a shower. If you prefer a larger bathroom or one that is accessible with walking aids, please take a look at our studios or Farm House.

Parties travelling with children are invited to stay in our spacious rooms on the ground floor. Extra beds as well as cots can be provided upon your request. Connecting rooms are also available on the ground floor.

The original structure of the Villa was built between 1910 and 1911. Due to the age of the building, you might be able to hear some sounds coming from the landings or stair case. All rooms and stairs are fitted with carpets to make sure the noise is kept to a minimum.
