The Netherlands are on GMT +1 time. In the summer months, this would be GMT +2.

The language spoken in Oostkapelle and its surroundings is Dutch. However, you will find that most people will speak German and English.

All running water in the Netherlands is potable water, unless specifically indicated.

Electric power (AC) in the Netherlands is at 220V/50Hz. The Netherlands use both C and F type plugs. This should be no issue when you’re visiting us from your residence on the European mainland, as all systems are harmonized. Visitors from the United Kingdom are advised to bring an AC Plug to convert their equipment to the Dutch network.

The currency used in the Netherlands is the Euro. Money can be exchanged at an Exchange Office but please be advised there are very few on the islands.
